It’s 2022 and if you are a coffee drinker like me, having some sort of a coffee maker at the house or office / work place is non negotiable. Not to mention a few packs of freshly roasted coffee to enjoy on spot. I mean could you imagine a morning or afternoon without that aromatic cup of coffee?! The demand from shoppers to find the best roast coffee in Thailand online, whether as whole beans or pre ground has never been higher. So where is the best place to buy roasted coffee online in Thailand? Is there a go to coffee store in Thailand that is available in English & Thai as well as providing a customer service in English and in Thai?
Coffee Culture, born out of love for coffee and its country, is an online marketplace for fresh roasted coffee. The online coffee store was built to help local coffee roasters in Thailand sell their coffee products to both Thais and foreigners. Through Coffee Culture’s unique online store, these local coffee roasters and farmers are able to not only survive financially, but also get their products discovered.
How they started
The idea for Coffee Culture came at a time after Susan, a half Finnish half Thai, and her husband Daniel’s joint digital marketing company took a big hit due to the crisis’ devastating effects. “We wanted to start something of our own and at the same time I started getting kind of annoyed with how I couldn’t find many roast coffee options to buy aside from those at local coffee shops or the big brands in supermarkets,” Susan says. “I knew there was plenty available out there because I’ve been to Chiang Mai where there are a lot of quality coffee roasters. You just can’t find it in any stores because they can’t penetrate the market.” In this respect Susan’s half Thai background became very helpful, as it allowed her to find her way to the different coffee roasters around Thailand by simply searching them in Thai. But it was not easy and definitely not time efficient. Hence Coffee Culture was born.
“We launched the business by shooting a promotional video for a crowdfunding campaign. The campaign ended up raising 60,000 baht and proving that there was a need in the market.” Susan explains.

What is coming next?
Coffee Culture is still a young company, but we are definitely looking to expand in the future. To be honest, we started with zero capital when we decided to take this project off of the ground. Currently, we are talking with various investors who can help us accelerate our expansion in the future.
We firmly believe that a key way to grow our business and continue to help local coffee farmers and roasters is by being able to export the amazing coffee that Thailand produces to the world. Recently, we’ve sent samples to Hong Kong, Australia, Russia and the Caribbeans. While we are taking baby steps at the moment, we are confident that it is just a matter of time until we can grow globally. It is a big aspiration for all of us at Coffee Culture, especially due to the fact that we started our company in the midst of a massive economic struggle.
